About us

We are Inge and JeanPaul, creative entrepreneurs from Amsterdam, and proud owners of Can Còdol de Fluvià. We found this beautiful mansion in 2017. It had been abandoned and hidden in its forest for over twenty years. The potential of the house was immediately visible to us and after a lengthy purchasing process we have worked together on its stylish renovation.

Permanent residents

Nowadays we live in the mansion and are always near to help you. We will answer all sorts of questions to guarantee your best possible stay at the Casita of Can Còdol de Fluvià. We live on the estate together with our dogs, cats and chickens. All our animals live outside and they are friendly and socially adapted. You are allowed to take your dog(s) with you on your stay in the apartment, as long as they know how to behave… If, on the other hand, you or any of your guests are afraid or allergic to pets, please let us know and we can take simple measures to prevent direct contact.

Sustainability

We like to minimize our footprint and take care of our planet.
So the main building is equipped with 33 large electrical solar panels which, under normal circumstances, account for more than 75% of the energy consumption. We have a private well that, after chlorine-free filtering, supplies good drinking water.

The drainage of the house is done by a natural drain field system. The soaps are biodegradable and Eco friendly. We separate our waste (plastic, paper, glass) and our organic trash is reduced to a minimum with the help of the dogs, chickens and the compost heap.

Dans un cadre exceptionel et magnifique, la location est très propre, parfaitement équipée (pour cuisiner, pour manger dehors, la literie, la douche géniale...) l'appartement est grand et lumineux, très calme !!

Echt geweldig deze Casita, wat een vondst! Het huis zit vast aan een groot landhuis en heeft een eigen opgang en tuin, is prachtig afgewerkt en van alle gemakken voorzien.

We enjoyed this magical place. We immediately felt at home because of the warm and pleasant communication with the host and hostess! We'll be back!
