The Casita was stylishly renovated in 2020 with a modern touch. So we provide fiber optic high-speed internet and inside the entire wooden ground floor has pleasant underfloor heating and two cooling fans. The apartment measures over 110 m2 and consists of three different levels plus a small but cozy garden that includes barbecue and dinner table. Because the Casita is surrounded by nature, five of the ten windows have a bug screen to prevent insects from entering.
living areas
Behind the front door of the Casita you’ll find the spacious sitting area of the apartment. The large sofa can easily be transformed into a double bed in case you have guests staying overnight. In the bookcase you’ll find a wide range of books in different languages.
On the other side of the kitchen you’ll find the dining area with a four-person dinner table, a small wine bar and a relaxation corner. Next to it is the TV area with flat screen TV (satellite reception) and a modest selection of DVDs for a drizzly day.
Kitchen & Bathroom
The Casita houses a fully equipped kitchen (please be careful, the knifes are sharp!) with electric oven, 5-burner stove (gas) with extractor hood, two refrigerators, a freezer and a dishwasher. In addition, you will find several basic products and some products from our own garden (if available) to survive the day of arrival ;-). A washing machine is cleverly built in under the stairs. Next to the kitchen is the bathroom with sink, toilet and a spacious walk-in shower.
sleeping area
Take the stairs to go to the sleeping area. Here you will find a double bed (or on request two single beds), a long (working) desk, and lots of storage space. From here you have a nice view of the sitting and dining areas, but also of the garden.
Patio & Garden
Behind the gates of the private entrance you’ll find the patio and a modest but cozy walled garden. In addition to rain and sun screens, you will find a barbecue and a dining table as well as a cozy sitting area. Here, surrounded by nature, you can hear the birds whistling and the chickens scratching around. Bicycles are waiting for you outside your gate next to your private parking spot.

Is parking available at the house?
Yes, we have free parking on site available for all cars.
Can we bring our dog(s)??
Yes, you can bring your pet with you to stay in the Casita. As long as he or she doesn’t attack other dogs since we have four of our own… We do ask you to respect the rules of normal hygiene and don’t allow the dog to go on the bed or the couch. Outside on the fenced area in front of the main house please remove his or her droppings.
Is the house accessible by public transport?
High-speed trains to and from Paris, Madrid and Barcelona Sants stop at the international train station Figueres-Vilafant, ±20 car minutes from the house. There are taxis in front of the station (±€20). Girona airport is ±40 car minutes, Barcelona airport ±90 car minutes away. We can help you with local taxis or train tickets. Contact us for further details. For longer stays we advise to rent a car.
Can we walk in the forest around the house?
The six-hectare estate of Can Còdol de Fluvià consists of a three-hectare forest, a picking garden in the making and several hectares of ‘wild’ land. The entire estate is accessible to our guests and their pets. The Fluvià river meanders just 200m from the estate.
Are towels and bedsheets available?
We offer crisp sheets, duvets, blankets and soft towels to all our guests. For the beach you’ll find special beach towels in the Casita. All are included in the price. You’ll find a washing machine in the apartment, under the stairs.
How close is the nearest beach?
How often will the Casita be cleaned?
The Casita is cleaned on arrival. If you wish a mid-stay cleaning service for the apartment, this can be arranged at an extra cost. Please contact us for more information.
