Can Còdol de Fluvià is an estate belonging to the Catalan village of Torroella de Fluvià in the far northeast of Spain. It is located in the province of Girona, 45 km below the French border and just seven kilometers from the Mediterranean Sea.

How to get there

By Train

High-speed trains to and from Barcelona, Madrid and Paris, stop at the international train station Figueres-Vilafant, ±20 car minutes from the house. There are taxis in front of the station (±€20). Next to the station you will find car rental companies Herz and Europcar.

By Plane

In high season, flights from all over Europe arrive daily at Gerona Airport. From there it’s ±40 minutes bij car or taxi (±€90 for eight people). In low season you fly to Barcelona airport (±90 minutes by car). The highspeed train brings you in 55 minutes from Barcelona Sants to Figueres-Vilafant.

By Car

Depending on the direction of travel, you approach via the A9 (France) or the AP7 (Spain). Eventually you end up on the C31. From there, take the exit ‘Torroella de Fluvià / St Pere Pescador’. After 500m in the direction of St. Pere you will see the sign ‘Can Còdol’ on your right.

The beach of Sant Pere Pescador consists of seven kilometers of sand and dunes. It is one of the largest of the Costa Brava and one of the least urbanized, you’ll find no permanent construction here. It’s perfect for sportive activities or just for relaxing. In summer you’ll find some typical beach bars and restaurants.
There are areas reserved specifically for wind- and kitesurfing.

From the Casita of Can Còdol de Fluvià, the beach of Sant Pere is easy to reach by bicycle. Via a car-free path along the Fluvià River you can cycle the seven kilometers in just 30 minutes.
